AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE HOURS OF ')ERVICE OF EMPLOYEE
IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
ORDINANCE NO. 3293.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TH:* CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
ARKAN SA S.
SECTION 1. That from and after "September lst,1923,
the two - platoon system of service shall be installed in the
Fire Department,under rules and regulations to be drafted by
the Chief of the Fire Department,and approved by the Mayor
and Fire Committee of the City Council.
ACTION 26 The personnel of the Fire Department is
hereby increased from fifty -five officers and employees to
sixty -five officers and empl oyees,and the Chief of the Fire
Department is hereby authorized and directed to employ and
add ter, additional men to the present force of the Fire
Department.
;SECTION 3. All additional men added to the present
force of the Fire Department under the provisions of this
ordinance shall receive the schedule of salaries,now provided
by ordinances.
