to IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CCUNCIL 01 THE CITY OF LITTLE aOCZ:
Section 1. The sum of 0300,000, or as much thereof as may
be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any moneys in the gem-
eral revenue fund not otherwise expended, for the purpose of pur-
chasing and equipping a par=e site, and the ayor and City Clerk are
whereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver the City's
warrants t o the person or p ers uns from whom any such site may be
purchased or acquired, and to the contractor or contractors or
other persons entitled thereto, for Work and material necessary for I
the acquisition of said park site, and for the improvement and
equipment thereci, said warrants to be of such denominations, ag-
gregating not over X300,000, and of such maturities as, in the dis-
cretion of the Layor and City Clerk., may seem for the best inter-
ests of the City.
Section 2. The Kayor, the narks & Grounds Committee and a
committee of four members of the Little Rock Clearing House _'.ssoci-
ation appointed by the Council be and they are hereby authorized and'
directed to select such site as in the opinion of the majority of
such joint committee, composed of the Hayor, Parks & Grounds Com-
mittee and the Clearing House Association Committee, is suitable fo
' park purposes and far the best interests of the City, reporting su
selection so made back to the City Council for its action thereupon.
Section 3. Ordinance& IT 3231, and all other
ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict hereaith, are hereby
repealed, and this ordinance shell take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
