i An Ordinance Authorizing the board of Public :affairs to Contract for
the purchase of a Tract of Land Containing Approximately 124 Acres
in Section 6, Township 1 North., Range 12 jest, 'ulaski County, .
Arkansas, to be Used as a Papk Site, and for other purposes.
Whereas, Under Ordinance Yo. 3 -3,S-g -che is _:for, the Parks &
Grounds Committee and a committee of four members of the Little Rock!,
Clearing .mouse Association appointed by the Council, were authorized'
to select a site suitable for park purposes and report back to the
Council; and,
Thereas, Such joint committee so authorized have reported
back to the Council that as a part of such park site they have se-
lected a tract in the western portion of the city, more particularly
described as follows:
The North Half of the Southwest 2uarter and the
Northwest uarter of the Southeast wuarter, , of Section 6,
Township 1 North, Range 12 ':nest, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
containing 12? acres, more or less;

Council; NOW, TcEMORE:
BE IT ORDLI ETED BY TIE]' CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
:section 1. The Board of Public Affairs of the City of Little
Rock is hereby authorized and directed to contract for the purchase
of such site and of the 1,?300 ,000 heretofore appropriated for the
purpose of purchasing and equipping a park site, the Hayor and City
Clerk, after the contract for such purchase has been nr de Emd the
title of the above described property approved by attorneys to be
selected by the hazy or and Board of Public Affairs, are hereby au-
thorized -nd directed, in ccordance ��rith the provisions of said
Ordinance No 3 3 J- to execute and deliver to the ol.mers there
of the City's warrant or -�rarrants for the sun, of X79 , 312.30 , to be
iri Null payment for the tract of land above described, title there-
to, upon the consummation of said transaction, to be taken in the
name of the Cit-y of Little Rock.
Section 2. S.11 ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, nd this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
