l 'In Ordinance Appropriating x`:3000.00 for the Assistance of Curb, Gutter &
Storm Sewer District �3o. 277 and Street Improvement District No. 278,
Both of the City of hittle Rock, and for other purposes.
,,7hereas, Street Improvement District No. 278 has been formed for
the purk;ose of paving Scott Street from 15th to 21st Street and the cross
streets from itiiain to Cumberland; and,
Whereas, Curb, Gutter &: Storm Sewer District No. 277 has been
formed for the purpose of placing curbs, gutters and storm sevvers in the
same territory; and,
'r'hereas, Said districts cannot raise sufficient money, without
assistance from the city, to construct the improvements for which they
were formed; and,
liThereas, Present conditions in said districts must be remedied
and, in addition to the district itself, a large area will be drained by
the storm sewers to be constructed therein; NOW, THEREFORE;
BE IT ORDA I14ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LlTTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the sum of X1500.00 is hereby appropriated for each
district out of thec��,� fund, for the purpose of assisting
in the construction of the improvements described above; and the 11ayor and
City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to draw the City's warrants
upon said fund as follows: X1500.00 in favor of Street Improvement District
No. 278, payable June 1, 1925, and 1500.00 payable to Curb, Gutter & Stor
Sewer District No. 277 upon June 1, 1926; and to deliver said warrants to
the commissioners of said districts.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force from and
after its passage.
