AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF BENEFITS TO Bu RECEIVED BY
THE OWNERS OF .EACH OF THE SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARC -ELS OF
LAND 'WITHIN THE ANNEX TO STREET IP.P''?OVEI!E1U DISTRICT NO. 362
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, A?I TKI.ANSAS :
`rilTrET,;'REAS, a majority in value of the property
holders owning property adjoining the locality to be affected
and situated in the Annex to :street Improvement Dis t-_Oict 1140o
362, in the City of Little Rock, :Arkansas, organized for the
purpose of making local improvements therein by draflung, grad-
ing, curbing, guttering and paving Vest T.,';enty -first Street be-
tween the east boundary line of Izard Street and the west bound-
ary of State Street, have petitioned the City Council of the
City of Little Rock for the construction of said improvements
and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real pro-
perty in said district according to the benefits received; and,
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and
every block, lot and parcel of real property, railroad and
railroad right -of -way situated in said district equals or ex-
ceeds the local assessment thereon, and,
- HE,REAS, the estimated cost of said improve-
ments is x:3,690.17 exclusive of interest and other expenses
and the assessed benefits amount to .''6,084.00; "Wherefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIM CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the said several blocks,
lots and parcels of real property, railroads and railroad rights -
of -gray in said Annex to Street Improvement District No. 362, be,
and they are hereby, assessed according to the assessment list
as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Little Rock and as the same may be annually readjusted
by the Board of Assessors and that ten per centum of said. assess-
ment of the value of benefits to each of said blocks, lots and
parcels of land, railroads and railroad rights -of -way shall be
paid on or before the 15th day of December in each of the years
1923 to 1932, inclusive, until the whole of said assessment shall
have been paid.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
passage.
