ON BEHALF OF DICK JOH1TSON, AND FOR OTHER PURi'OSES.
- vM=AS, on October 26, 1923 Dick Johnson was incarcerated in the cityjail
on a specific charge, and
rHEREAS, he had suffered from the effect of gas auring over sea service,
and had been and was, at the time hw was incarcerated, a patient at the State
Hospital for Nervous Diseases. and
AS, he was not physically or mentally responsible for the act fo vr3kich
he was arrested and fined* and
YiIUEMEAS, Paul R. Grabiel, at the request of some American Legion comrades,
g,�ve his check for the amount to prevent the incarceration of the said Johnson
over Sunday, #e i, nooT therefore
BE IT ORMINED BY TH1 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the sum of :"'101.40 be and the same is hereby appropriated
out of' any moneys in the reveime fund not otherwise appropriated for the purpose
of refunding to Paul R. Grabiel the fine that he paid on behalf of Dick Johnson,
and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authoriz6d and directed to draw the City's
warrant for the sum of :101.40, mode payable to Paul R. Grabiel, and with such
maturity as their discretion may deem it to be to the best interest of the Qity.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and aster its passage.
