BE IT ORDAIMM BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE: CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1. That the owner or owners, respectively, of any property abutting on the South side of Tvrenty -six Steeet from Broawmay to Spring Streets, of the City of Little Rock, e and they are hereby required to build Within ninety (VO) clays from the passar;e of this ordinance, and to maintain a sidewalk along such property between the points named. Section ?.. That said sidewalk shall be built of concrete ana shall be properly laid, well built and carefully maint- ined in accordance with the rules and specifications heretofore or hereafter prescribed by resolutionor ordinance, and subject to the approval of the superintendent of public works, or his duly authorized agent. Section 3. That said sidewalk shall be laid on the proper grade as establish- ed heretofore or hereafter by ordinance, and said sidewalks shall befive (5) feet iide4 Section 4. That upon the failure or refusal of any of said owners of said property to conply % -Ath the provisions of this ordinance in reference to building, maintaining or repairing of side walks in the ma -mer and time herein prescribed the Board of '?blie affairs may contract with some suitable person for the con- struction or repair of said sidewalks in the manner as set out in Ordinance 711006, passed June zb, 1903; t'iat said Ordinance #1003 is hereby so amended as to in- clude therein the territory desc-. i ".red w----C for that nrui7)o se all of its provisions that are not in conflictor inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby mude and declared applicable to the territory described herein. That in addition to the civil proceedings provided for herein ai,y ovmer of property abutting on the above streets between the points named rh o sh411 fail or refuse to comply with the =)rovisions of this ordinance shall be deemed juilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction in Municipal Court, shall be fined in the sum of twenty -five dollars; and each day th -t such failure or refusal is continued shall constitute a separate offei.se Und shall be punished by a fine of fifteen dollars per day such offense is continued.
