34721 J `t A ORDINANCE NO. 34Z %-2--- All ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE; VALUE OF THE BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF TIE SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS, PARCELS AND OTHER SUB- DIVISIONS OF LAND WITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER 359 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK-, ARI ANSAS . WHEREAS, a majority in value of the property owners owning property adjoining the looa lit;;° to be affected and situated within Street Improvement District dumber 359 of the City of Little Rook, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of making local improvements therein by grading, draining, curbing, guttering and paving in such maxmer and with such materials as the commissioners of said district shall determine to be for the best interests of the district, the following street: Ninth Street from the west property line of Spring Street to the east property line of nigh Street, having petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the construction of the improvement and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property within said district, according to the benefits received; and, 0MEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot, parcel and other sub - division of real property situated within said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and, 'vVHZRE.nS, the estimated cost of said improvement ;is 33, 220.66; J`„ _. 9 MA THEREFORE, it is now ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: Section 1. That the several blocks, lots, parcels and other sub - divisions of real property within said Street Improvement District Number 359 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and they are hereby assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and as the same may be annually readjusted by the Board of f Assessors, and that "°,per centum of said assessment of the value of the benefits on each of said blocks, lots, parcels and other subdivisions of land shall be paid annually on or before the first day of July, of each year, until the whole of said assessment shall have been paid. The first annual payment shall be made on or before the first day of July, 1924. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby x repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Passed: April 7, 1924.
