AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING TIE OVINERS OF TFE PROPERTY ADJ_C:IT TO TIM SOUTH SIDE OF
EAST THIRD STREET AND 11n ALLEY B TVVEF.N MIN AND SCOTT STREETS TO RIMOVE TFE
'4ALL ON THE WEST SIDE OF SAID ALLEY AND THE APPENDAGE OR STRUCTURE ACOSS THE
ALLEY SUPPORTED BY SAID tiirZL AND TM BUILDING OPPOSITE TI��EOF, i1-`D FOR OTH
PURPOSES:
Whereas, there has been a fire at the :)'outheast corner of Third Street
and "in Street, which has left the rear wall of the building in an unsafe con-
dition, and,
Whereas, this rear wall supports an appendage or structure which crosses
the alley from the building on the opposite side of said alley, and,
,hereas, the wall is in momentary danger of collapse, and is unsafe and
detrimental to the public welfare and there are high -powered ele_tric wires extend-
ing beneath the appendage, and,
Vihereas, the appendage or structure crossing the alley is an encroach-
Trent on said alley, and,
Whereas, the Superintendent of Public'elorks has condemned the said wall
and appendage and it is necessary that both should be removed at the earliest
possible moment

SECTION 1. That the owners of said wall, situated on the east end of ,(

they are hereby required and ordered to remove the said wall and appendage ^by

SECTION 2. For failure to comply with the provisions of this ordinance
the said owner or ovm.ers, mentioned above shall be deemed �Tailty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction in T:unicipal Court shall be fined in the sum of ;;50.00 and

for each day after I;ay 15th, 1924, that the wall and a m. endag•eA remain shall
constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its nass-
age, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to serve conies of this ordinance,
without delay, upon the respective owners.
