LITTLE ROCK.
MMREAS, more than -yen owners of real property in
that portion of the City of L ittle Rock, in the State of
Arkansas, hereinafter described, have petitioned the City
Council to take steps toward the making of a local improvement
in said city by forraing said territory into an improvement
district for the purposes hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That all of the real property situate witiin
the following boundaries, to -wit:
Begin at the intersection of the center line
of Asher Avenue with the center line of the alley.
through block nine (9) in R. C. Butler's Addition;
thence go north alon" said line (extended) to its
intersection with the center line of Twentieth
Street; thence east along the center line of
Twentieth Street to its intersection with the center
line (extended) of the alley through block two (2)
in Chei3terfield Square; thence south along said lire
(extended) to its intersection with the center line
of Twenty- fourth Street; thence west along the
center line of T.,:enty- .fourth Street to the east
boundary line (extended) of the Garland School
Tract of land; thence south along said east boundary
line and along the east boundary line of the Pearlie
Mann tract of land to the intersection of said line
with the center line of Asher Avenue; thence in a
southr,esterly direction alonS said center line to
the point of beginning - all in the City of Little
Rock, .Arkansas.

the south property line of Twentieth Street to the
south property line(extended) of the Garland
School Tract of Land, including crossings over all
streets crossed; a sidewalk on the crest side of
'Maple Street from the south property line (extended)
of the Garland School tract of land to the north
property line of Asher Avenue, including crossings
over all streets crossed; a sidewalk on each side
of Valentine Street from the south property line
of Twentieth Street to the north property line of
Twenty- fourth Street, including crossing over all
streets crossed; a sidewalk on each side of Valmar
Street from tree south property line of Twentieth
Street to the north property line o f Twenty-fourth
Street, including crossings over all streets
crossed; a sidewalk on each side of Twenty- second
Street from the east property line of "Haple Street
to the west property line of Valmar Street, includ-
ing crossings over all streets crossed; a sidewalk
on the north side of Twenty- fourth Street from
the east property line of aple Street to the west
property line of Valmar Street, including crossings
over all streets crossed; a sidewalk along the
property line of Maple Street to the west property
line (extended) of Valentine Street.

The street referred to as Twentieth Street in
the above descriptions is the street passing along
the north side of Chesterfield Square; the street refe r-
red to as Twenty- second Street in the above descript-
ions is the street running east and west through the
center of Chesterfield Square; the street referred to
as Twenty- fourth Street in the above descriptions is
the street running along the south side of Chester-
field Square, as shown in the plat of said Chester-
field Square on file in the Recorder's office; the
street referred to as Asher Avenue in the above
descriptions is the street or road known as the Little
Roclr -Sot Springs Highway, and Nineteenth Street Pike.

All of said pavements, curbs and sidewalks to be of
such materials and dimensions and to be laid in such manner as
the commissioners to be appointed may deem to be to the best
interest of the district, except that the street paving betm en
curbs shall be done with gravel; and that said district be
designated as Street and Sidewalk- Improve:ient District No.
of the City of Little Rock,
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage.
