The following rules for disinfection shall be complied with in houses or rooms where there has been a case of Smallpox, Scarlet Fever, Diptheria, Epidemic 2.1eningitis, Tuberculosis, Yellow Fever or Cholera. 1. X11 floors, woodwork, iron bed - steads nn furniture shall be scrubbed and cleaned with lye soap and .- ter or cor.centra ed lye and water, or a disinfectant solution arpr-oved by the Vity Health Officer. 2. Malls shall be re- papered, when required, or i%,ashed with dis- infectant ar-proved by the City Health Officer. 3. All r&attresses used, and having become soiled shall be burned; if not soiled, shall be placed in direct sunshine for tYree days, and each mattress turned twice each day. 4. L11 articles used by the patient, such as, pillow cases, sheeting, towelling, underwear a21d handkerchiefs shall `e washed with soap eater, and boiled for 20 munit�s. 5. All rugs, woolen clothing or aiV articles th -,A can not be cleansed as s_-)ecified above shall be placed in direct sunshine for three days turning them over every day. 6. Keep house -and room well ve Ailated so as to permit, as much fresh air and sunshine as possible to enter. SECTION 2.
