An Ordinance Authorizing the Board of Public Affairs to Con-
tract for the Purchase of a Certain Tract of Land in
Section Six, Township One North, Range Twelve West,
to be Used as a Park Site, and for Other Purposes.
Whereas, Under Ordinance Number 3359, the Mayor,
y/ the Parks and Grounds Committee and a committee of four mem-
hers of the Little Rock Clearing House Association appointed
by the Council were authorized to select a site suitable for
park purposes and report back to the Council; and,
Whereas, Such joint committee so authorized have
reported back to the Council that as a part of such park
site, in addition to the tracts heretofore selected, they
have selected a certain tract adjacent to the tracts hereto-
fore purchased and necessary for the proper laying out and
construction of the park contemplated in said Ordinance Num-
ber 3359; the ownership, description, and price to be paid
for such tract being as follows:

And whereas, such selection has been approved ±x

BE IT uRDA NED BY THE CITY CVUNCIL OF TA CITY Or' LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. The BuARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS of the City
of Little Rock Ia HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO CONTRACT
for the purchase of the tract of land above described and of
the 4300,000.00 heretofore appropriated for the purpose of
purchasing and equipping a park site, the MAYOR ANI) CITY
CLIU:RK, after a contract for such purchase has been made, for
a said not in excess of the purchase price set out in the pre-
amble hereto, and the title to such tract of land approved
by attorneys to be selected by the Mayor and Board of Public
Affairs, ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED, in accordance
with the provisions of said Ordinance Ninber 3359, TO EXECUTE
AND DELIVER to the owner or owners of such tract the CITYtS

WARRANT OR WARRANTS FOR THE SUM CONTRACTED TO BE PAID for
such tract, to be in full payment for said tract of land so
purchased, title thereto, upon the consirmation of said
transaction, to be taken in the name of the City of Little
Rock.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
passage.
