An ordinance laying off a portion of the City of Little Rock into a Street
Improvement District, to be known as Curb, Gutter, Drainage and Sidewalk District
No. _39 6 _.
WHEREAS, ten owners of real property in that portion of the City of
Little Rock, hereinafter described, have petitioned the City Council to take steps
toward the making of a local improvement in said city by forming said territory
Into an improvement district for the purposes hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arlmnsass
Section 1. That all of the real property situated within the following
territory, to wits
Beginning at a point on the North property line of Prospect Avenue at
intersection of said line with the line between Lots 1 and 2, Block 2,
Fairfax Terrace Addition to City of Little Rock, Arkansas, thence in an
easterly direction along the North side of Prospect Avenge to West line
of Block One (1), Midland Hills Addition, thence north to a point on
Center line of Lee Avenue, which point is five (5) feet South of the
Township Line between Townships One North and Two North, Range 12 West;
thence East along center line of Lee Avenue to the East side of North
Woodrow Street; thence East, along said center line of Lee Avenue pro-
duced one hundred fifty (150) feet, thence North, parallel with the
East line of North Woodrow Street five hundred five (505) feet to a
point; thence West, parallel with the North line of Ozark Avenue to
the center line of Martin Street; thence South along the center line
of Martin to intersection of said line with the North side of Prospect
Avenue; thence along said North side of Prospect Avenue in a south-
easterly and easterly direction to the point of beginning, all situated
in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
be formed into a local improvement district for the purpose of constructing side-
walks on all streets within the district except Martin Street, the North side of
Ozark Avenue and the east side of North Woodrow Street, and also for the purpose
of constructing curbs, gutters and drainage on all those parts of Ozark Avenue,
Louise Street, Lee Avenue and North Woodrow Street within the district, the work
to be constructed of such material and in such manner as the commissioners to tie
appointed may hereafter determine; and that said district be designated as Curb,
Gutter, Drainage and Sidewalk District No. 396 .
Section 2, This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
