ORDINANCE NO. 3574.
AN 0 RDI NANCE PRO VIX TIG FOR TH 3 TEASE OF
THE PROPERTY FORIMLY OCCUPIED AS A
CITY HOSPITAL.

Whereas, the City of Little jock is being relieved
to a large extent from the expense of caring for and housing
indigent persons in said city by the Social Welfare Bureau of
said city, a public charitable organization; and
whereas, the building formerly occupied as a City
Hospital located on Second and Sherman Streets, Little Rock,
Ar.ir,ansa e, is no longer needed for the purpose of a City Hospital;
TH, EvORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock:
Section 1. That the Board of Public Affairs be and it is
hereby authorized and er,ipowered to lease to the Social Welfare
Bureau of Little Rook the building or buildings located on
Second and Sherman Streets in said city and formerly used as,
or in connection with, the City Hospital for so long as the
said building or buildings may be used by the lessee for charitable
purposes, and at a yearly rental of not less than $1.00.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict here%1th be and they are hereby repealed, and this ordi-
nance being for the iroriediate relief of persons in distress shall
be effective from and after its passage.
