3617ORDINANCE NO. 3517. .......... W ORDINANCE GRANTING TO H. It. BERNETT THE RIGHT TO CONSTRUCT .10 PIAINTAIN A SIX INCH SEWER MAIN, CONNEECTING WITH THE CITY SE%M L, &IN AT NORTH JACKSON AND T STREETS AND EXT`r,T ?DING NORTH ON NORTH JACI'SON STREETBOIIT SEPEN HUNDRED FEET, ND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIC CITY OF LITM ROCK: SECTION 1. That the right and privilege is hereby granted to H. M. Bennett, his heirs and assigns, to construct and maintain, at his own expense, a certain sewer line as described above, provided, the said sewer shall be according to the plans and specifications as approved by the Supt. of Public "forks and filed with him. SECTION 2. In consideration of said privilege H. M. Bennett will advance the funds necessary for the construction of said sewer and for the proper maintenance thereof. The exclusive control of the line hereby authorized to be constructed f or and during the period provided by this ordinance is hereby granted to H. :v. Bennett and he is authorized to permit or prevent any connection therewith by any person or persons, except upon the terms and aenditions specified in this ordinance. SECTION 3. That the said H. X. Bennett shall permit all the property owners to ccnnect with same upon the payment of 9' for each lot connected, 4 7--to go th the city and ��^ to go to H. M 111. Bennett, and that said H. Bennett e -'i. shall pay, to the city, the sum of - S "y or the privilege of connecting said sewer line with the old sewer. SECTION 4. That said sewer shall be turned over and become the property pf the City of Little Rock five nears after the passage Of this ordinance. SECTION 5. The City Collector is hereby designated as collector for the parties mentioned to whom all moneys for connection shall be paid, and for the benefit and use shall receive 3% of the amount for making the collection of all moneys collected and pay the balance to H. 16. Bennett, his heirs and assigns as their interest appears. SECTION 6, Said H. P. Bennett shall file, in writing, an acceptance of the terms of this ordinance within 30 days after the passage of this ordinance, slid j[pon failure to do so the ordinance shall be in no effect. SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be in force from and after its passage. PASSED: august 18, 1 2L. Gentlemen:- I desire to construct a six inch sewer line connecting with the city server at North Jackson A T Streets and extend - ing north on North Jackson Street about seven hundred feet to my home. I agree to furnish the money for the conbtruction of this surer; under instructions of city engineer; in return for Which I desire your honorable body to grant me the privilege of controlling this sewer and the right to charge adjacent property owners $25.00 Per lot for connecting with same.
