3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR, CITY CLERK AND
4 CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR
5 THE PURCHASE AND DEMOLITION OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED
6 AT 9912 RAMONA DRIVE FOR FLOOD MITIGATION PURPOSES;
7 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the structure located at 9912 Ramona Drive is located within the 100 -year floodplain
10 and has a minimum finished floor below the base flood elevation; and,
11 WHEREAS, this structure has had a history of repetitive flood issues; and,
12 WHEREAS, a Flood Mitigation Grant was awarded to the City from the Federal Emergency
13 Management Agency for the acquisition of the property, demolition of structures and other project
14 expenses.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Mayor, City Clerk and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute, in a form
18 approved by the City Attorney, all documents required to purchase and convey to the City for demolition
19 of the property located at 9912 Ramona Drive for purpose of flood mitigation in the amount of Eighty -Six
20 Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars ($86,600.00).
21 Section 2. The project is 100% funded through a grant from the Federal Emergency Management
22 Agency.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
