136721 RESOLUTION NO. 13,672 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ARKANA CNG, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT 5 OF THREE HUNDRED SIXTY -FOUR THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED 6 TWENTY DOLLARS ($364,520.00), TO PURCHASE COMPRESSED 7 NATURAL GAS (CNG) EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY'S FIRST CNG 8 FUELING STATION, AND TO UTILIZE THE ALTERNATE BID TO 9 PURCHASE FOUR (4) CYLINDERS FOR ADDITIONAL NATURAL GAS 10 STORAGE, AT A COST OF ONE HUNDRED FORTY -NINE THOUSAND, 11 EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($149,800.00), FOR A TOTAL PROJECT 12 COST OF FIVE HUNDRED FOURTEEN, THREE HUNDRED TWENTY 13 DOLLARS ($514,320.00);AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 14 15 WHEREAS, Bid #13112 was issued to obtain competitive bids for the purchase of compressed 16 natural gas (CNG) equipment for the City's first CNG fueling station and Arkana CNG, LLC, submitted 17 the most responsive and responsible bid, in the amount of Three Hundred Sixty -Four Thousand, Five 18 Hundred; and an alternate bid was submitted by Arkana CNG, LLC, for the purchase of four (4) cylinders 19 for additional natural gas storage to meet projected customer demand, at a cost of One Hundred Forty- 20 Nine Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($149,800.00), for a total project cost of Five Hundred Fourteen 21 Thousand, Three Hundred Twenty Dollars ($514,320.00). 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 25 Arkana CNG, LLC, for the purchase of CNG equipment for the City's first CNG fueling station, in the 26 amount of Three Hundred Sixty -Four Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty Dollars ($364,520.00), and to 27 utilize the alternate bid to purchase four (4) cylinders for additional natural gas storage, at a cost of One 28 Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($149,800.00), for a total project cost of Five 29 Hundred Fourteen Thousand, Three Hundred Twenty Dollars ($514,320.00). 30 Section 3. Funds for this purchase are available in Acct. 108409- S40A146. 31 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and [Page 1 of 21 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
