3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH EVS /G &W, OF CONWAY, ARKANSAS,
5 FOR THE PURCHASE OF A HUSHAIR 6000 PSI STATIONARY
6 BREATHING AIR COMPRESSOR STATION FOR USE BY THE
7 CENTRAL FIRE STATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY -FOUR
8 THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED TWENTY -SIX AND 94/100 DOLLARS
9 ($54,226.94); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the air compressor located at Central Fire Station which is used to refill Self Contained
12 Breathing Apparatus is in need of replacement, as the current unit has exceeded its expected operational
13 life and is not dependable; and,
14 WHEREAS, the unit requires constant repair which results in a high level of out -of- service time
15 from the unit; and,
16 WHEREAS, Bid #13110 was issued and EVS /G &W, of Conway, Arkansas, submitted the most
17 responsible and responsive bid in the amount of Fifty -Four Thousand, Two Hundred Twenty -Six and
18 94/100 Dollars ($54,226.94).
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with EVS /G &W, of Conway,
22 Arkansas, in the amount of Fifty -Four Thousand, Two Hundred Twenty -Six and 94/100 Dollars
23 ($54,226.94), for the purchase of one (1) Hushair 6000 PSI Stationary Breathing Air Compressor Station
24 for use by the Central Fire Station.
25 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
