An Ordinance assessing the Value of t':Ze Benefits to be Received By the Owners of Each of the Several Blocks, Lots and Parcels of Land Wit'zin Street Improvement District No. 409, of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. WriERr;AS, A majority in value of the prole rty owners owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated within Street Improvement District No. 409 of the City of Little Rock., Arkansas, organized. for the purpose of making local im- provements therein by paving Van Buren Street from the South line of Club Road to the North line of "T" Street, and "T" Street from Van Buren Street to the East line of Country Club Heights Addi- tion, and making local improvements b`r grading, draining, curb- ing, guttering, and graveling Van Buren Street from the North line of "T" Street to a point One Hundred Fifty ( 150) Feet North of the North line of the Forbes Place Addition, Jackson Street from "T" Street to the North line of Newton's addition, Spruce Street, Palm Street, beech Street and Ash Street from "T" Street to the North line of Country Club Heights Addition, and "U" Street from Van Buren Street to Jackson Street, have petitioned the City Council of Little Rock, for the construction of said improvement and t'_zat the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real proper- ty within said district according to the benefits received; and, WHERI!Eh6, Said benefits received by each and every block, lot and parcel of real property situated within said District equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and, WHEREAS, The estimated cost of said improvement, exclusive of interest is Fifty -Eight Thousand ($58,000.00) Dollars; `HhhEFOkE, It is now Ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: Section 1. That said several blocks, lots and parcels of real )roperty in said Street Improvement District No. 409 be and they are hereby,* assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, and as the same may be annually readjusted bzr the Boa-, d of Assessors, and that nine (9i0 percentum of said assessment of value of benefits of each of said blocks, lots and parcels of land shall be paid annually for the next succeeding six (6) years, on or before the 20th day of April of each year, untj.l fifty -four, ( 54;0) percentum shall have been paid; that thereafter eight (B a) percentum of said assess- ment of value of benefits shall be paid annually for the next succeeding two (2) ,years and that seven (7ja) percentum of said assessment of value of benefits shall be paid on the next and succeedirg ninth year; and that six (6c) percentum of said assess- ment of value of benefits shall be paid on the final and succeed- ing tenth ,year, o- , altogether, until a total of eighty -three (83 %) percentum of said assessment of value of benefits shall have been paid. The first annual payment shall be made on or before the 20th day of April, 19250 Section 2.
