SECTION 1. very physician shall be required to report to
the 3ity Health Officer as soon as possible every case, diagnosed or
treated, of acute anterior polior4elitia, anthrax, Asiatic cholera,

meningitis, epidemic encephalitis, gonorrhea, hoolmorm disease, influen-

scarlet fever, smallpor., syphilis, trachoma. tuberculosis (laTyr-Peal and

SECTION 4. The following degrees of control are to be
carried out in all cases of communicable diseases notifiable: °Z
P-uarantine, Isolation, and jbservation.
DECTIC� 5. Quarantine is defined to mean and include:
(a) Strict isolation of the -oerson sick and of those attendant
upon him, in e room screened against flies and moscuitoes.
(b) Absolute prohibition of entrance into or exit from a build-
ing of any person except the attending physician, health author-
ities, or any person or 10ersons especially authorized by the
health authorities.
(c) The following named diseases shall be placed under quar-
antine: Plague, cholera, typhus, yellow fever and leprosy.
S;CTIC)N 6. Isolation is defined to mean and include:
(a) Complete separation of the person sick with the communica-
ble disease and of those attendant upon him, from all other per-
sons on the premises, in a room screened against flies and mos-
quitoes.
(b) Prohibition of entrance into and exit from a building
except for certain members of the family authorized by the health
authorities under certain definite restrictions.
S-CTION 7. '.2n all premises where a case of communicable dis-
ease exists subject to cuarantine or isolation, there shall be
posted in conspicuous ")laces, both at the front and bac:c of the
house or apartment, white placards bearing the name of the dis-
ease in large black letters with the following warning: "All per-
sons ar- forbidden to enter or leav : this house or at,)artment ex-
cent doctors, nurses and those members of the family given passes
by the Health Officer, or to remove, hide or deface this placard.
Penalty: fine of TM10,00 to ;;:100.00." Provided it is not necessary
to placard chicken pox or riumps.
S 1CTI,� 18. The following named d iseas _,,s shall be placed un-
der isolation: "cute anterior poliomyelitis, anthrax, chicicen pox,
epidemic cerebro- spinal meningitis, epidemic encephalitis, influ-
enza, measles, mumps, smallpoT, diphtizeria, scarlet fever, typhoi
f ever , paratyphoid fever. whooping cough, dengue-; fever, pneumonia,
and broneho- pneumonia.
SECTION 9. Observation is defined to mean and include:
(a) Inspection from time to time by the local health officer
or his Pent of persons suffering; from any of the following com-
municable

ophthalmia neonatorurn, trachoma, malaria and hookworm.

violated, the local health Ci'ficor may on--force _ solation.

s SECTION 13. Anyone who violates any provision of this
ordinance, or who removes, aides or defaces any placard on or in any
hutise or apartment shall b,-� deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, -and upon
conviction in court, shall be fined in .any snm not Less than

61:CTION 14. All ox•dina.: ces or parts of ordinances in conflict
herAx ,,,ith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall taILe effect and
