X ORDINANCE ANNEXING 11 CERTAIN
'ORTIGN HE ,IN1�FT22Z DESCRIBED, OF
TEE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
TO STREET IL-1PROVEMMOTT DISTRICT NO.
376 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKAMIS.
WHEREAS, persons claiming to be a majority in
value of the owners of real property within the
territory hereinafter described, which property
adjoins Street Improvement District No. 376 of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, a duly created
and existing improvement district in said city, de-
sire to be added to and included in said improvement
district, and have filed a petition with the City
Council of the City of little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, praying that said territory be annexed to
said improvement district and have designated the
nature of the improvement to be undertaken, and have
describeLi the territory to be annexed; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the city
clerk to publish for two weeks in some newspaper issued
and having a general circulation in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, a notice calling upon the property owners
within said territory to appear before this council
on this day and show cause for or against such annex-
ation; and,
ili'HEREAS, such notice has been dull published and
this is the time fixed in said notice for the hearing
to determine whether those signing said petition con-
stitute a majority in value of the owners of real
property in said territory; and,
uYHEREAS, this council has heard all persons who
desire to be heard upon the question of whether the

signers of said petition constitute a majority in
value of the owners of real property within said
territory sought to be annexed;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That this Council has ascertained
that the signers of the petition to annex the pro -
perty hereinafter described to Street Improvement
District No. 376 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
constitute a majority in value of the owners of real
prole rty within the territory sought to be annexed,
and that said petition for the annexation of said
territory is in due form and properly signed by a
majority of the owners of real props rty as required
by law.
Section 2. That Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
and 11 in blocs: 13, in ', oodlavin Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas; and, Lots
it 29 39 49 5, 6, 7, 81, 9 and 10 in block 2; Lots
79 81P 9, 10, 11 and 12 in block 1, in Calloway's
Addition to the City of Little mock, Pulaski. County,
Arkansas; and, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in blocs: 9;
Lots 13, 14, 159 169 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and
24 in block 3; Lots 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20,
21, 22, 23 and 24 in block 4; Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
and 12 in block 5; All of blocks 6 and 7; Lots 1,
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 in block 8;
in Eber_dale's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
iulaski County, Arkansas; and Lots 7, 8, and 9 in
block 21; Lote 4, 5 and UC in block 12; Lots 1, 2,
3, 4, .5, 6, 7 and 8 in block 11; Lots 5 and 6 in
block 6; in Kip. ball's South Park Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkanaas, be, and

they are hereby adder; to and annexe,- to Street Im- P"�p �s
provement District No. 376 of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and are a part of said i[provement
district, and the commissioners of said District shall
proceed to make the improvements petitioned for by do-
ing the necessary grading, draining, curbing, gutter-
ing, and ;paving with the material and in the manner
that the Commissioners of said Street Improvement Dis-
trict i;o. 37c .:hall deem to be for the best interest
of the territory hereby annexed to said Street Improve -
ment District 11o. 376 on Gaines Street from Thirt�r
third Street to the north property line of Thirty-
first Street; liffel Avenue from shirty -third Street
to South Thirty - second Street; State Street from
South Thirty-second Street to the north property
line of Thirtieth Street and 6outh 'Thirty- second
Street from the west property line of State Street
to the east property line of Rifiel : Avenue. That
said annexed territory shall be ?mown as Annex No. 1
to Street ILproveri-lent District No. 376 of the City
of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Section 3. That the Commissioners shell make the
assessment of benefits for said improvement on the lots
in the territory to be annexed on the same basis as if
said territory was included in the original district
and shall file said assessment with the city clerk,
Section 4. That all ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passage and
the city clerk is hereby ordered within twenty days
after the passage of this ordinance to publish the
salve in some newspaper published in the City of
Little mock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, for one inser-
tion.
