RATZfii'ING THE SALE OF =i FllI1DING BOTMS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK AID LEVYING A TAR FOR TI-MIR PAY1ENT.
VMREAS, the Mayor, Board of Public Affairs and Finance
Committee of the City of Little Rock, have arranged a sale to the
Union Trust Company and. Bankers Trust Company, of Little Rock,
P:rkansas, and the Federal Cori fierce Trust Company and William R.
Compton Company, of St. Louis, Missouri, of its series of bonds
of the said City amounting to $1,910,000.00, it being ascertained
and declared that this is the amount of the indebtedness of the
City of Little Rock outstanding at the time of the adoption of
Amendment Zdo. 11 to the Constitution of the State of Arkansas;
said
bonds to
bear interest at
the rate
of four and
one
half per
centum (4e.)
per annum, and maturing as
follows;

Committee of said City and the purchasers; and the price of said
bonds being pax, with accrued interest, plus %7 and
'WHEREAS, said sale is an advantageous one to the said
City of Little Rock;
YOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIM CITY COUNCIL OF
TM', CITY OF LITTLE+' ROCKS`
Section 1. Said sale is hereby ratified and confirmed,
and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to w,lecute the said bonds
in accordance with its provisions and the a rrangements that
ace-

may be made for their date and place of payment; and in order to
pay the said bonds, there is hereby levied upon all real and
personal property within the City of Little Rock a tax of two and
one -half (2j) hills per annex for each of the years 1925 to 1949,
inclusive, being a sum sufficient to meet said bands and interest
as they mature, with ten per cent (14f) added for unforeseen con -
tingencies; and the City Clerk is directed to transmit a certified
copy of this ordinance to the County Clerk of Pulaski County, to
the end that said taxes may be extended upon- the tax books of
Pulaski County and collected annually along with the other taxes
until the said bonds azd interest thereon are paid in full.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.
