ORDINANCE NO. 4584
AN ORDINANCE REgUIRING THE CLOSING OF PUBLIC DANCES AND
PUBLIC DANCE HALLS AT 12:00 O'CLOCK MIDNIGHT,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI'T'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That any person, firm, corporation or
association operating, conducting or controlling a public
dance or public dance hall (as defined by Ordinance No. e
3743, passed March k5 9, 1925) is hereby ordered and directed
to close same at the hour of 12 :00 og --lock midnight each and
every night, and is prohibited from operating such public
dance or public dance hall after the hour herein given.
Section 2. That an* person, firm, corporation or
association, or any agent or employee thereof, who shall
violate any provision of the foregoing section of this ordi-
nance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be
subject to a fine of not less than $25.00 nor more than $100.00
for the first offense, and for the second offense the court
shall, in addition to the fine, order a permanent revocation
of the permit issued under Ordinance No. 3743.
Section 3. It shall be the duty oft'neCi� C
lector to stamp or print on the face of each permit ,,`for a
public dance or public dance hall the following: "MUST CLOSE
AT 12;00 O'CLOCK MIDNIGHT. -- Required by Oity Ordinance No. 1'
6giving number).
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
only insofar as they conflict with this ordinance are hereby
revealed and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
