ORDINANCE N0. 4821,
AN ORDINANCE FOR THE BETTER PRESERVATION AND BEAUTIFICATION
OF THE PUBLIC PARKS IN THE CITY OF LI`T'TLE ROCK AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT 01DAINED BY THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
Section 1. From and after the passage of this ordinance
it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to cut,
pull, tear or otherwise displace or disturb any trees, shrubs,
vines, ferns, wildflowers or other vegetation, whether wild
or cultivlated which may now or hereafter grow or be found in
Fair Park, Boyle Park, Alsopp Park, City Park or any other
,public narks in the City of Little Rock.
Section 2. The terms of this ordinance shall not be
construed to apply to any landscape gardener or other person
duly authorized by the Parks Committee of the City Council
to improve or beautify said parks by the transplantation or
removal of any tree, vine, shrub or flower contained therein.
Section 3. The violation of the terms of this ordinance
shall constitute a misdemeanor and upon conviction therefor in
the "unicipal Court the person or persons so convicted shall be
fined in a sum not less than Ten ($10) Dollars nor more than
Twenty Five (25) Dollars and in the event that any corporation
shall violate the terms of this ordinance the president or other
resident officer of such corporation shall be subject to the
penalties discribed herein.
:Section 4. tM ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
