136661 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 RESOLUTION NO. 13,666 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH NEW FUTURES FOR YOUTH TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO YOUTH INTERVENTION AND NEIGHBORHOOD -BASED PROGRAMS, YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY, AND CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention, and Youth Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community- building; and, WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Request for Qualifications (RFQs) No. 12,301 to solicit applicants to provide Technical Assistance Services; and, WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the RFQS submitted on December 14, 2012, determined the applicants qualified to deliver Technical Assistance services to youth intervention and neighborhood -based programs, youth employability services, and crisis intervention services, and recommend New Futures for Youth for contract awards. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with New Futures for Youth, not to exceed One Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($160,000), to provide technical assistance, youth employability, and violence prevention services, upon approval of the contract by the City Attorney. Section 2. Funds for these programs are from the 2013 PIT Allocation, account number S15A125. Section 4. The term of the contract is from March 1, 2013, to February 28, 2014, and may be extended for one (1) additional contract term upon appropriation, satisfactory performance and mutual agreement of the parties. Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution. Section 6. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
