3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO CONTRACTS WITH NINE (9) ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE
5 NEIGHBORHOOD -BASED AFTER - SCHOOL /OUT OF SCHOOL TIME
6 PROGRAMS IN TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention, and Youth
10 Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community- building; and,
11 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Request for Qualifications No. 12299 to solicit applicants
12 to provide Neighborhood -Based Afterschool /Out -of- School Time Youth Programs in targeted neighbors
13 for Little Rock youth; and,
14 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the RFQS submitted on December 14, 2012,
15 determined the applicants qualified to deliver Neighborhood -Based Afterschool /Out -of- School Time
16 Program services, and recommends the organizations listed below for contract awards.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. Contracts for Neighborhood -Based Afterschool /Out -of- School Time Programs are hereby
20 awarded to the following organizations:

Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with these organizations providing
YIP -Youth Initiative Programs for targeted neighborhoods.
Section 3. Funds for these programs are from the 2013 PIT Allocation, account number S15A125.
Section 4. The term of the contract is from March 1, 2013, to February 28, 2014, and may be
extended for one (1) additional contract term upon appropriation, satisfactory performance and mutual
agreement of the parties.
Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.
Section 6. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any
provision of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
