To the Honorable mayor, and
Members of the City Uouncil,
Little Hock, Arkansas.
Gentlemen:
We attach herewith an ordinance levying a seven percent levy
on the assessed benefits of Street Improvement District No.
508 for the year 19319 and ask that the Council expedite its
passage and so avoid having the District suffer a delay in
meeting the obligations of the District.
The commissioners have filed with the City Clerk their annual
report as well as a complete detailed audit of the District
Trade by Chase & Gaunt, certified public accountants, in which
audit schedule 10 shows the net deficit based on the present
5% assessment to be $15,590.68 with no allowances made for
any taxes which may be delinquent and may not be collected
for some time. With this definite information on file in
the City Clerk's office, the commissioners request that the
attached ordinance be passed with which levy they believe
the obligations of the District can be met.
