AN ORDINANCE APENDING SECTION ONE OF ORDINANCE NO. 4009 OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
BE IT ORDLINED BY THE CITY COU3CIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That Section One of Ordinance No. 4009
passed by the City Council April 12, 1926, be and the same is
hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows:
"Section 1. In order to protect the morals, sense of decency,
peace, and safety of the residents of the city, especially
those under legal age, a Board of Censors is hereby created,
consisting of twenty members. One member shall be chosen at
the annual election of the Little Rock Parent - Teachers Asso-
ciation, such elected member to be reported to the City Council
immediately following such election; one shall be appointed by
each member of the council and the member so appointed shall
serve at the will and pleasure of the alderman making the ap-
pointment and the appointee must reside in the ward of the alder-
man making the appointment. When a vacancy occurs it shall be
filled by appointment of the al derjnan making the appointment of
the censor who is no longer on the board."
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
only insofar as they conflict herewith are hereby repealed and
this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage.
