BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUJCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1. That from and after the passage of this ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person, firi:i or corporation to operate or cause to be operated bowling alleys until the license fee hereinafter set out is paid to the city collector and license issued therefor. Section 2. The sum of Twenty) ( ?200) Dollars per annum shall be charged for each separate bowling alley maintained in any one got; ,7 p for up to and including four alleys and the sum of (.00 Dollars shall be charged for each and every addi- tional Bowling Alley operated in any one Bowling Parlor where the number of alleys exceeds Four. That said license fee shall be payable semi- annually. Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage and approval. Your petitioner verily believes that if your honorable body will amend said license tax it will make it possible for this business to operate, otherwise the tax as is now fixed by City ordinance is prohibitive.
