AN ORDINANCE ANENDING SECTION ONE Or ORDINANCE M.
4539 AND FOR OTHER PUTPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C07 C IL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
section 1. That Section One of Ordinance No. 539 be
and the same is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows:
"Jection 1. That a City Planning Commission is hereby created and
shall be composed of nine (9) members who shall be appointed by the
`!yor, subject to the confirmation of the City Council. All members
shall serve as such w-;ituout compensation and the members shall hold
no other municipal office except that the :=ayor may appoint one of
the administrative officials of the :municipality to serve upon the
commission should he so desire. The terms of the members appointed
shall be for a period of three (3) years provided however, that the
appointments made at the time this ordinance shall take effect shall
be in the following manner, three members shall be appointed for
one (1) year, three members shall be appointed for Two. (2) years and
three members shall be appointed for Three (3) years. The terms of
the appointees for the one year period shall expire April 15,1933
or when their successors are appointed and the terms of three members of
the commission shall expire on April 15 of each year thereafter. The
absence of any member for three consecutive meetings of the commission

Zayor in his discretion shall fill said vacancy for the unexpired term

erection 2. All ordinance or part thereof in conflict
here�ith are,in so gar as they do conflict, hereby repealed and this
ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
