RESOLUTION NO. 13,662
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDERS DODGE JEEP, IN THE TOTAL
AMOUNT OF SIXTY -NINE THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY -
NINE DOLLARS ($69,489.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3)
PURSUIT -RATED VEHICLES FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE
DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE PURCHASING
CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department is in need of three (3) pursuit -rated vehicles which
will be an addition to the Little Rock Police vehicle fleet; and,
WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, the City's Fleet Services
Department is authorized to purchase three (3) pursuit -rated vehicles from Landers Toyota for $23,163.00
each, for a total of Sixty -Nine Thousand, Four Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($69,489.00);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
Landers Dodge Jeep for the purchase of three (3) pursuit -rated vehicles for the Little Rock Police
Department, utilizing the Arkansas State Contract, for the total amount of Sixty-Nine Thousand, Four
Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($69,489.00).
Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2012 collection of the 3/8 -cents sales tax.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
