OTHER PURPOSES.
Be -It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Roc4:
Section 1. That Soft Curd ,.ilic is defined to be milk produced
from cows or goats with an individual curd tension of not to exceed
30 grarns, tested with equipment and filethods approved by the City Health
Officer.
Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation desiring to sell Soft
Curd Milk in the City of Little Rock shall comply with the following
requirements:
First. Fay to the City Collector the sui of five dollsrL
($5.00) at the time application is made and each June ist., thereafter, this
to be in addition to the regular dairy permit of $1.00 per head.
Second* Apply to the City Health Department for per-
mission to so label their milk, and the following; words shall appear on
each bottle cap "Certified Soft Curd Milk,” or, "Grade A Raw Soft Curd .,:ilk ",
or Grade A Pasteurized Soft Curd "ilk ". In case of the latter same must
have been "Grade "A" Raw Sof t Curd ;:'_ilk" before pasteurization.
Third: File a copy with the City Health Department of
all re-oorts of any testinb previously done giving the curd tension of each
cow in the Herd.
Section 3. Soft Curd T. "_ilk shall. be sold only in the original bottles
as put up at the dairy, each bottle to be regularly capped and then cover
ca )ned with either parchment paper or cellophane and shall be transported
in covered metal cases.
Section 4. Lefore aiiy dairy can label their mil'.: as Soft Curd Milk
they muit have 1iad at feast six tests on each cow in the hero, tests to be
made not less than three weeks nor more than two months apart. Said tests
to be made b;r the City Health Department, or by some _person recognized by
said department as qualified to mare said tests.
Section 5. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance
shall be fine6 on cunvictioi� 4.m of not less than X25.00 nor more trian ^50V t�� /
