5028ORDINJUITCE No.. 0 Flit; ORDINANCE dJ. EIdDING ORDI14ANCE NO. 4559 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINIED BY THE CITY COUIrCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE, ROCS:, ARIA :SAS: Section 1. That Sections 3, 5 and 10 of Ordinance i,Io. 4559 be and the same is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows; 98ection 3: It shall be the duty of the Inspector of :7eights and ,.easures at least once each calendar year and as herein provided to examine and test the accuracy of all instruments lased, or to be used, within the limits of the Cite of Little Rock in weighing and measuring any substance, article, energy, or pressure intended to be purchased, or sold, or any article to be shipped from or received into the city of Little Rock, and all instruments used, or to be used, within the city in weighing, or measuring,any person, or animal for hire, or reward, or which may be used in such manner that the ments, may pecuniarily interest any instruments are used, to stamp with scale or thine so used which he may made to conform to the standard, pr accuracy of such weight, or measure - person other than the owners) before such a suitable seal each weight, measure, find to conform, or which shall be scribed by the lays of tha United "States, the ,tate of Arkansas and reco- i-iended by the National °ureau. of Standards, ashington, C., which are now and may hereafter be in force -< and to deliver to the owner thereof a certificate of their accuracy. Section 10. Article 1. It shall. be the duty of said inspector to make an additional examination and test of any instrument used or to be used in v7eir;hin , and measurin! whenever in his mpinion such inspection may be recessary, and it shall also be his duty to perform such, service upon request, anu at the Expense of any person owning or using any instrument of weight or measure as often as thereto requested, by such oviner or user, or by anir other person provided such other person ishall first pay the fees herein provided for such inspection. Article 2. The inspector of 'y11'eights and Measures, for a second or subsequent inspection and where vei°hts, measures or other things are found incorrect as are hereinabove described charge and receive the same fees as for the first inspection. Article 3. All _persons using weights, measures, scales or other V ins of the kind hereinabove mentioned shall cause the same to be examined, tested and sealed as hereinbefore req,..�ired, anti no such wei -hts, measures, scales, or other things so used shall be deemed inspected, tested, or sealed until the owner thereof shall have paid for and obtained a proper certificate or certi- i cates from the inspector of ';weights &- i.
