5042-0 Ordinance Number � D An Ordinance Appropriating the Sum of $285.00 to Pay the Claim of Mrs. Lydia Sherrill Against the City of Little Rock. Whereas, Mrs, Lydia Sherrill filed her claim against the City of Little Rock for damage to Lots one to five, inclusive, Block one of Hillcrest Park hddition to the City of Little Rock, caused by change of grade made for Street Improvement District #508, which improvement was made in 1931, and Whereas, under a writ of mandamus, from the Pulaski Cir» Cuit Court, the City was required to name assessors to fix the damage caused by said change of grade and otherwise comply with the statutes of the State of Arkansas, and Whereas, said assessors have fixed the damages due the said Lydia Sherrill at $285.00 and the said Lydia Sherrill has agreed to accept said sum in full settlement of said claim, Now, Therefore, Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock: Section 1. The sum: of 4285.00 is hereby appropriated to pay said damages as fixed by said assessors and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to issue the City's warrant therefor payable to the said Mrs. Lydia Sherrill or her attorney. Section 2.
