5065R b� 0RDIN.ANCE N0, AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND LET A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS, EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND REPAIRS FOR THE CITY HOSPITAL IN A SUM NOT TO EXCEED $7200.00; APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT FROM, THE SPECIAL HOSPITAL FUND AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1.That the Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids and let a contract for the purchase of surgical instruments, equipment, supplies and repairs for the use of the Little Rock City Hospital in accordance with the items, quantities and specifications contained in the list prepared by the Superintendent cf the Hospital. Section 2. That the expenditures for said items as set forth in said itemized list shall not exceed the sum of Seventy Two Hundred ($7200.00) Dollars and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the city's warrant in payment of said purchases from the successful bidders therefor, out of the Special Hospital Fund. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. The immediate purchase of said items of equipment are necessary for the operation of said hospital, therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall oe in force from and after its passage.
