AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5073, AND.FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 5053,
passed by the City Council June 26, 1933, be amended to read in
its entirety as follows:
"Section 2. That the Mayor and the Parks
Committee of the Little Rock City Council are hereby
authorized and directed to file an application with the
Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works for funds
with which to erect a municipal swimming pool, complete
the construction upon the public golf links, including
an Administration Building, also for the erection of a
Zoo Building, and other improvements of the Zoo, all
located in Fair Park at Little Rock, Arkansas."
Section 2. The construction of the improvements
contemDlated in this ordinance being necessary for the peace,
health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the city
of Little Rock, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
