J� AN O= DINANCE AUT14ORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO LI1,1TER INTO A CONTRACT AND AGREEMENT WITH THE ARKANSAS INDUSTRIAL AND RELIEF STATE AGENCY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE,OPERATION AND PAYMIENT OF A S'V11111�1ING POOL IN THE LITTLE ROCK 7UNICIPAL PARK KNO'W'N AS FAIR PARK AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITE' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: SECTION 1. That the Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and agreement with the Arkansas Industrial and Relief State Agency for the construction, maintenance, operation and payment of a swimming fool to be constructed in the Little Rock 11unicipal Nark known as Fair Park, u_con such terms and conditions as may be agreed upon by the said Board of Public _affairs and the Arkansas Industrial and Relief state agency, provided, however, that said contract and agreement shall not Provide nor require that the City of Little Rock, shall incur any obligation or expense which shall be payable from or out of the general revenues of the City of Little Roca: other than such revenues as roar be derived from the operation of the swimming Pool to be constructed Sri, the Little Rock unicipal --ark known as :Fair Park. ;CT70jj a. The construction of a Swimming Pool in Fair Park which will be available for use of all the citizens of Little Rock will contribute largely to the promotion of the health and welfare of the citizens of Little Rock of all ages as. such a pool will enable them to engage in the healthful exercise of swimming and if such ool is to be available for the citizens by the opening of the coming swimming season construction must be started immediately, therefore an emergency is hereby de- clared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in foree from and after the date of its passage.
