An Ordinance amendatory of Ordinance No. 958, passed
February 12, 1903, as amended by Ordinance No. 2109, passed July
13, 1914, and as amended by Ordinance No. 2526, passed September
18, 1918, fixing and establishing the rates and charges for steam
heating service furnished by the Arkansas Power & Light Company
to citizens of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That Section Five (5) of Ordinance No. 958,
passed February 12, 1903, as amended by Ordinance No. 2109, passed
July 13, 1914, and as amended by Ordinance No. 2526, passed Septem-
ber 18, 1918, and as amended by order of the Arkansas Corporation
Commission, made and entered on the 9th day of August, 1920,
effective on the 15th day of September, 1920, be and the same is
hereby amended, and the rates and conditions for heating service
from the Central Heating Plant of the Arkansas Power & Light Com-
pany, assignee of the franchises provided for in the Ordinances
aforesaid, be and the same are hereby fixed and established as
follows:
First 10 thousand pounds condensation per month, or fractional month,
at $1.10 per thousand pounds.
Next 10 thousand pounds condensation per month, or fractional month,
at $1.05 per thousand pounds.
Next 10 thousand pounds condensation per month, or fractional month,
at $1.00 per thousand pounds.
Next 20 thousand pounds condensation per month, or fractional month,
at $.95 per thousand pounds.
Next 20 thousand pounds condensation per month, or fractional month,
at $.90 per thousand pounds.
Next 20 thousand pounds condensation per month, or fractional month,
at $.85 per thousand pounds.
Next 250 thousand pounds condensation per month, or fractional month,
at $.80 per thousand pounds.
.Next 260 thousand pounds condensation per month, or fractional month,
at .75 per thousand pounds.
All over 600 thousand pounds condensation per month, or fractional
month, at $.70 per thousand pounds.
-2- ORDINANCE NO.
The minimum monthly bill for any building containing
25,000 cubic feet of space or less, shall be Three Dollars ($3.00)
net, effective October 18, 1933.
The minimum monthly bill for any building containing
more than 25,000 cubic feet of space shall be twelve cents (12�)
per 1,000 cubic feet of space in said building, effective
October 18, 1933.
All bills shall be rendered at net rates, not dis-
counted at all, and shall be payable within ten (10) days from
the date of same.
Section 2: This amendment to the said ordinances and
to the order of said Arkansas Corporation Commission shall not
effect the provisions of said ordinances and said order, except
as herein provided, and all provisions and parts of said ordi-
nances and said order of said Corporation Commission, in conflict
herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The rates and conditions as herein established
and provided for, shall become the fixed rates and conditions of
said Arkansas Power & Light Company for service, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
passage and acceptance, within thirty (30) days therefrom, by the
grantee herein, to be noted on the margin of the recorded ordinances.
