CLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
BE IT ORDAINED BY TH✓ CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF LITTLE OCK,ARKA7SAS:
Section 1. That the radio department of the City of Little Rock is
hereby created for the purpose of operating a Police Broadcasting Station
in the City of Little Rock, in conjunction with the City of North Little Rock
and P'alaski County.
Section 2. There is hereby created the 'position of Technician for the
radio department of the City of Little Roc's, who shall be ap 'pointed by th
dY Chief of Police and the salary of said Technician is hereby fixed at One
Fundred Twenty A
($126.00) Dollars per month. There is hereby created the
Position of Operator in said radio department who shall be app in ed by the

Hundred Dollars ($100) per month. J,
Section 3. The Radio Department of the City of Little Rock and its
personnel shall be under the control and supervision of the Chef of Police
of Little Rock and said Chief of Police shall fix their hours
-cr work and
outline their duties for the best interest of said Radio Department.
Section 4. For the purpose of economy in operating said Radio
Department the Mayor of the City of Little Rock is hereby authorized to
enter into a contr,-..ct between the City of Little Roclp, the Cite of North.
Little Rock and .Pulaski County for the operation and maintenance of said
Radio Unit.
Section 5. The immediate installation of a Radio Department for the
use of the Police Department being necessary for the protection of the
safety of person and property of the citizens of Little Rock, an emergency
is hereby declared and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after the date of its passage.
