Of the City of Little Rock has entered into an agreement
with the holders of its outstanding bonded indebtedness
whereby it will issue refunding bondsto be exchanged for the
present outstanding bonds of said district, said refunding
bonds to provide for more time in which to pay the outstand-
ing bonded indebtedness, thus decreasing the annual require -
inents to be collected from the property owners in the
district; and
WHEREAS, it will be much easier for the property
owners in the district to pay the refunding bonds over a
period of ,Tzars; and
#HEREAS, the statute permitting refunding bonds
provides for interest at six per cent per annum from the date
of the refunding bonds to be collected on each annual install-
ment of the assessment of benefits;
NC_�i, TaIMEFORE, Be it Ordained by the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1: That the said several lots, blocks,
parcels and tracts of real property in Street improvement
District No. 388 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and
the same are hereb,T assessed according to the assessment list
for said improvement district as the same noliv remains in the
Office of the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
and as it may hereafter from time to time be revised or
readjusted by the Loard of Assessors, and of the said assessment
of the value of the benefits on each of said lots, blocks,
parcels and tracts of real property in said district, beginning
I :.lay 1st, 1934, shah be paid ten per centum (10 %) on or before
the first day of X.ay of the years 1934, 1935, 1936 and 1937;
seven per centum (7yo) on or before the first day of May of the
years 1938 and 1939; six per centum (6�1o) on or before the first
day of May of the years 1940, 1941 and 1942; and five per centum
(5%) on or before the first day of each year thereafter, until
the whole of said assessments have been paid. Each annual
installment, beginning with the year 1938, shall bear interest
at six per centum (6') per annum from July 1, 1933, the date
of t!Ze aforesaid refunding bonds, until paid, said interest to
be computed and collected sepwately upon each annual install-
ment of the assessment of benefits.
Section 2: That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage.
