5151ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THEi OPERATION OF A BOARDING HO12 FOR CHILDREN IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK_ TO BE A PRIVILEGE, PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING AND REGULATION THEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: r: SECTION1. From and after the passage of this ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation or association to conduct a boarding home for children as herein defined without having in force a license obtained from the City Collector and approved by the City Health Officer, such license to be good for the current year. SECTION 2. A Boarding Home for children within the meaning of this ordinance is any place in which children under sixteen (16 ) years of age, not related by blood or marriage to the owner or manager of said place, are received, kept, provided with food, shelter and care for hire or compensation, however paid. This shall not mean any boarding school or day nursery. SECTION 3. Any person desiring to operate a boarding home for children shall first make application to the City Collector and deposit with such application the annual license fee, which is hereby declared to be 7hree (_ °:;3.00) Dollars per annum.
