ORDINANCE NO. 5203
AN OBDINANCE AUTHORIZING A COMMITTEE COMPOSED OF C. B. ERWIN,
H. G. LEISER AND FLOYD TERRAL TO PURCHASE SUCH PROPERTY AS
MAY BE NECESSARY FOR A RIGHT- OF -71'AY BETWEEN 24th AND 25th
STREETS ON MAIN STREET AND FRCM 25th STREET AND MAIN STREET
EAST TO CONFEDERATE BOULEVARD; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR
FUNDS FOR SAID PURPOSE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THy. CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
SECTION 1. That a Committee composed of C. B. Ervin, H. G.
Leiser and Floyd Terral, all Aldermen of the City of Little Rock,
be, and it is hereby authorized, to secure options and /or purchase
property for a street right -of -way from 24th to 25th streets on Main
Street and from 25th and ""ain Streets East to Confederate Boulevard,
all in the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. The sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15000.00),
or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated from
Road Fund and/or Auto
the /- +�ae�rr� -- -Re* °Fund for the purpose of purchasing any option
and /or property which said Committee may deem necessary for the com-
pletion of the right -of -way from 244h to 25th Streets on Main Street
and 25th Street East to Confederate Boulevard.
SECTION 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized,
upon the recommendation of said Committee, to issue warrants for the
purpose of purchasing options or property in accordance with this
Ordinance and for the purpose of perfecting a right -of -way from 24th
to 25th Streets on gain Street and 25th Street East to Confederate
Boul evard.
SECTION 4. Whereas, it is necessary that immediate action
be taken to secure the right -of -way for said street;and,whereas it
will be for the benefit of the general peace, health, safety and
welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
