AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE 154th OBSERVATION SgUADRON OF
THE ARKANSAS NATIONAL GUARD TO USE CERTAIN LANL LYING WITH-
IN THE PROPERTY LEASED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FROM THE
UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT FOR TH7 LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL AIR-
PORT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
'AlHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has leased from the United
States Government certain property lying within and used for airport
purposes at the Little Rock Municipal Airport; and,
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore by proper Ordinance released
to the 154th Observation Squadron of the Arkansas National Guard a
plot of ground upon which the Squadron has constructed its hanger;
and,
WHEREAS, the Squadron has now completed plans for rebuilding
this hanger and needs the use of additional space,
Now, therefore
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
SECTION 1. That the 154th Observation Squadron of the Ark-
ansas National Guard is hereby granted the full use and control so
long as the same shall be used by the said 154th Observation S -ivadron
for aviation purposes, a plot of ground thirty-five (35) feet wide on
the East side of said hanger and running the full length of the North
South dimension of said hanger and the additional space twenty -four
(24) feet wide on the West side of said hanger beginning at the South
end of the hanger and increasing in width to one hundred twenty -nine
(129) feet at the North end of said hanger.
SECTION 2. 'yiher eas, the granting of this additional space
will facilitate the letting of the contract for the construction of
this improvement which will result in giving employment to many per-
sons now unemployed in the City of Little Rock, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance is found to be necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety
and the same shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
