5236ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTA_TN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE RCCK TO BE A NUISANCE, PROVIDING FCR THE REAMOVAL AND FCR OTHER PURPC SES . BE IT ORDAT_NED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS SECTION 1. That whereas, the owners of the following described property to -wit: 915 Gaines street 401 West Eight Street 818 Gaines Street 500 and 503 Summit Avenue 1423 Spring Street 505 East Sixth Street 807 East Sixth Street 2319 Izard Street 601 East Second Street 515 West Seventh Street Ei#th and Fletcher Streets I61c Viest Twelfth Street 1812 High Street Second and Bishop Streets 1311 Lincoln Avenue 212 main Street 215 John Street 908 'West Seventh Street 721 Valmar Street have allowed the buildings located on said property to deteriorate to the extent that said buildings have been found by the Fire Committee of the Little Rock City Council to be hazardous in that they, and each of them, constitute a fire hazard, and in addition are dangerous to the life and limb of the public; and same and each of them are hereby declared to be nuisances. And the Chief of Police is hereby instructed to serve the oviners of each of said pieces of property with a copy of this ordinance and notify said owner or owners that the respective pieces of property must either be torn down and re- mcved or remodeled within thirty (30) days frcm the date hereof. SECTION 2. In the event the owner cr owners of any of said pieces of property cannot be located, the Chief of - =olice is instruc- ted to serve said notice by posting a copy of this ordinance on the front door of each of said buildings and report such action to the Fire Committee of the City Council. SECTION' 3. Any owner or owners of any of the within described property failing, or refusing to conform to the provisions of this -2- ordinance shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof in the Little iiock Municipal court shall be fined in any sum not less than Twenty -five collars ($25.00) nor more than Three Hundred Dollars (w3J0.00). SECTICN 4. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and instructed to proceed to take all necessary court action in order to secure the removal of the property herein declared to be a nuisance if same is not removed or remodeled within thirty (30) days of the date hereof. SLCTICN 5. Due to the constant fire hazard and the danger that these pieces of property present to the public safety an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and the same shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
