ORDINANCE NO. cS `..1.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING MODIFICATION OF THE LEASE FROM THE
UNITED STATES TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, SO AS TO
RESERVE FOR THE USE OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OF AR&tiNSA.S ADDITION-
AL LAND NOW INCLUDED '�+ITHIN 'SHE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES:
WHEREAS, the Uity of Little mock has leased from the United States
Goverrmient certain property lying within and used for airport purposes at the
Little mock municipal Airport; and,
V,H&T{ AS, building No. 22, which is a hangar, was reserved from said
lease by the united States uovernment for the use of The National uuard of
Arkansas; and,
V1SE11EAS, The National uuard now desires to remodel and enlarge said
building, which will require the use of ground included in said lease which has
not been heretofore reserved therefrom;

BE IT 1 BY T- E CITY COUNCIL u F THE CITY uF LITTLE ROCK
SECTION 1. l'he r;.ayor of the Uity of Little mock, 11rkar.sas, is hereby
authorized and empowered, on behalf of the City, to agree to an amendment and
modification of the lease of the airport property from the United States to the
uity of Little hock, so as to reserve from said lease the following described
area, or such portion thereof as may be desired, for the use of The Arkansas
National uuard, to -wit:
Beginning at the Southwest Corner of building No. 19, which is
a bare- house, run bast along the South side of said building 300 feet,
thence South to the South Boundary line of the airport, thence vest
along said line to the Southwest Corner of the airport, thence in a North-
westerly direction along the crest boundary line of the airport to a point
directly riyest of the point cC beginning, thence cast to point of beginning.
And the Mayor of the City is further authorized and empowered to execute
such amerd.--rent to and modification of said lep-se as may be necessary in carrying
out the purposes of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. Whereas, the granting of this additional space will facili-
tate the le +t ing of the contract for the construction of this improvem= nt *, ich will
result in giving employment to many persons now unemployed in the Uity of Little !rock,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance is found to be necessary
fcr the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety and the same
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage approval.
