AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THEL, CITY HEALTH OFFICER TO EMPLOY
LOCAL VETERINARIAN FOR THE PURPOSE OF VACCINATING DOGS
AGAINST RABIES AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION THEREFOR: AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH1 CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. From and after the passage and approval of this
ordinance the City Health Officer is hereby authorized, empowered, and
directed to employ one or more local veterinarians for the purpose of
vaccinating against rabies, all dogs for whom a City license has been
paid. The compensation for such veterinarian or veterinarians for
services in making such vaccination shall be the sum of Seventy-five
Cents ($0.75) per dog, which amount shall be paid out of the Two
Dollar ($2.00) City dog tax collected. No fee shall be paid to any
veterinarian or veterinarians unless the tax on such dogs has been
paid.
