OVERMAN MAYOR July 15, 1935 To the Honorable Mayor Members of the City Council Persuant to resolution and instruction from the council, we advertised for bids on a Street Sweeper for the City. These bids were received on July 8th, at 2 P.T., and the result of the bids have been tabulated and all conditions pertainin to the purchase of the sweeper have been carefully investigated. On last Friday, our present sweeper broke down completely and is in the shop now for major re- pairs, wiich will cost $75.00 to 4100.00. Our last month's city bills reflect the fact that the repairs and maintenance of this present sweeper, are extremely heavy and we recommend that the Durchase be made for sweeper for prompt delivery, and no more money be spent on the broken down sweeper.
