ORDINANCE NO. 5285
AN 0 :-DINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE FOR AND PURCHASE ONE MOTOR CYCLE FOR
USE OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, .ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. The Board of Public :ff airs is hereby authorized
and directed to take such action as is necessary in advertising for
bids for, and the purchase of, one (1) motor cycle for the Police
Department of the City of Little Lock, yrkansas.
SECTION 2. iiHEREAS, There is an immediate need for said
motor cycle in the Police Department, an emergency is hereby de-
clared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passaL;e and approval.

Gentlemen:
The members of the board of Public
Affairs has had under consideration, the
purchase of a motorcycle for use in the
Police Department. We find that the Depart-
ment needs the additional motorcycle, and
that same can be purchased for ap�roximate-
ly Five Hundred Fifty Dollars ($550.00).
We therefore recommend that the
Council pass an ordinance authorizing
this expenditure and direct the Board of
Public Affairs to proceed to advertise for
bids and make such purchase.
