AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 5283 IINTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 2503; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES "; FURTHER AMENDING SECTION 3 OF OR-
DINANCE NO. 2503; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTION 1. From and after the passage of tr :is ordinance,
ordinance no. 5283, same being an ordinance entitled "An ordinance
amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2503; and for other purposes ";
is hereby repealed in total..
SECTION 2. That section 3 of Ordinance No. 2503 be, and
same hereby is, amended as follows: That the Little Rock Gas & Fuel
Company, shall pay to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas for the pur-
poses as set out in Ordinance No. 2503 the sum of Twelve Thousand
Dollars 012,000.00) per year, payable quarterly in advance upon Jan -
uary 1, npril 1, July 1, and October 1st of each year.
-_'ECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be retroactive from
January 1, 1935.
SECTION 4. Whereas, it is necessary for the protection
of the health and safety of the citizens of the amity of Little :Mock,
Arkansas and for the benefit of the general welfare that this sum be
paid immediately, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its pass-
age and approval.
