AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $2,114.20 FROM
THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING A BONUS TO
SAID EMPLOYEES OF TIC; CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFT + CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That whereas certain employees of the City of
Little Rock have been receiving during the past year salaries
greatly below tae amount provided for due to the fact that the
depression has made strict economy necessary; and, whereas, it now
appears that the City of Little Rock did have the sum of $2,114.20
in excess of its necessary operating expenses for the year of 1935;
and said sure of $2,114.20 should be distributed pro rata for services
rendered in 1935 to the city employees who,'during said year, worked
for salaries of One Hundred Ten Dollars ($110.00) 1 or less.
Section 2. There is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund of the City of Little Rock the sum of $2,114.20 and the Mayor
and City Clerk are instructed to distribute said sure pro rata to all
the employees of the City of Little Rock, who worked for the City
during the year 1935 for salaries of One Hundred Ter. Dollars ($110.00)
or less.
Section 3. Whereas, all of the employees herein affected
are in immediate need of said money, an emergency is therefore declar-
ed to exist and this ordinance is found to be necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and
the same shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
